New
weekly Standard competitor practice
Broadway Ballroom will be hosting a weekly Standard
competitor practice that will be supervised by coach Young Ryu. These
kind of practice sessions give competitors a chance to develop
skills in floorcraft, presentation and technique by emulating the
feeling of a real competition. Depending on the number of couples,
heats may be used. Young will supervise the event, focusing attention
on different areas. Open to all competitive couples. The Standard
competitor practices will take place Saturdays from 6:30-7:30PM beginning
June 20. Cost is just $5 per person.
Rumba Tuesdays for the month of June
Starting on June 9, the Tuesday Latin Social Group

leave to take over the popular Friday Latin Technique class. The

Hop to the Quickstep
Our Monday Ballroom Basics entry level Standard
classes will focus on the Quickstep for the month of June. This lively
dance originated as a combination of several other dances. It's fast
and fun. Be part of the fun every Monday from 7:30-8:30PM!
Viennese Waltz Wednesdays in June
The Wednesday night Standard Social Group Class
covers the Viennese Waltz during the month of June. Although there
are only a few steps to this elegant rotational dance, there's a
lot to learn and Young Ryu will give you the knowledge to dance the
Viennese Waltz like never before. You'll learn the Natural and Reverse
Fleckerl -- that exciting step you see danced in the center of the
floor, as well as the Contra Check used to change direction in the
Fleckerl. Be part of this excellent class which takes place every
Wednesday from 7:00-8:30PM.
