eNews update for March 4, 2009
Welcome Olesya Michtchenko!
On Thursday, April 26, 2009 at 9:04pm baby
Olesya became the newest member of the Michtchenko family, joining
proud parents Roland and Ekaterina and sister Ksenia. Since the rest
of the family are so amazing as ballroom dancers, we're sure it will
be no time at all before we see little Olesya on the Broadway Ballroom
dance floor!
Broadway Ballroom Dance Festival coming April 4
Our next Pro-Am and Amateur competition is
coming to Broadway Ballroom Saturday, April 4. This will be a full
Pro-Am event in International and American Style PLUS a full
slate of competitive events for all age groups. Also included is
BC's first ever Pro-Am Team Match! Come to participate, or just to
watch. The competition has been fully sanctioned by DanceSport BC
and CDF. Complete information about
the event can be found on the Broadway
Ballroom website.
Format change to Party Nights
In order to help our dancers make the most
of their practice sessions, we'll be changing the format of some
of our party nights. Starting on March 16, 2009 the Tuesday
night party will be Latin only (since it follows a Latin group
class), and the Wednesday night party will be Standard
only (since it follows
a Standard group class). This format change will give dancers more
time on those nights to focus on each of these genres so that they
can get the most out of their evening. These dance parties run from
8:30-11:30pm. Other party nights throughout the week are unchanged.
Remember that you can save money on party nights
by joining Broadway Ballroom as a member. Members get a discount
on the cost of entry and receive two-for-one admission. Purchase
a book of 10 tickets as a member and pay just $50! That's an incredible
value. Membership is just $65 per year ($55 for seniors and students)
and brings other benefits as well. Just ask at the front desk.
